Each year, during the NCAA Wrestling Championships, the Beat the Streets community gathers for the Celebration of Impact, an evening dedicated to honoring the leaders, athletes, and supporters who are transforming lives through the sport of wrestling. It is more than a gathering; it is a reflection of shared purpose and proof that the values learned on the mat can change the world off of it.

2026 Cleveland

The 2026 Celebration of Impact will take place in Cleveland, Ohio, immediately following the NCAA Wrestling Championships. When the tournament last came to Cleveland in 2018, Beat the Streets Cleveland was just beginning to take shape as an emerging chapter. That moment helped spark the energy of local leaders who have since built one of the most dynamic and impactful Beat the Streets programs in the nation.

Today, BTS Cleveland is leading a capital campaign to renovate its mentoring center and expand holistic youth development opportunities across Northeast Ohio. During this year’s Celebration of Impact, we will recognize Executive Director Demetrius Williams, founder Todd Gaydosh, and the entire BTS Cleveland Board and Staff for their servant leadership and deep commitment to the mission. Their story embodies what Beat the Streets stands for, community-driven growth, opportunity, and hope for the next generation.

Our Collective Impact

Across the nation, 14 Beat the Streets Member Organizations now serve more than 14,000 youth participants each year, including the newest accredited members in Newark and Detroit. Together, these chapters are advancing a shared commitment to off-the-mat enrichment programs that build confidence, academic success, and leadership in every student-athlete.

This past year also marked the solidification of the Beat the Streets National Camp & Duals, a unifying week-long experience that brings together 450 of the most dedicated student-athletes from across the country for an unforgettable combination of wrestling, mentorship, and personal growth.

Behind this movement is a growing network of leaders supporting leaders, executive directors, coaches, mentors, and volunteers, who work tirelessly to ensure sustainable, high-quality programs that deliver deep and lasting impact in their communities.

A Look Back

This annual tradition has become a cornerstone of the Beat the Streets movement. The event has brought together hundreds of wrestling legends, chapter leaders, and supporters from across the country. We have honored champions like Sara McMann, Yero Washington, Jordan Borroughs, Helen Maroulis, heard inspiring reflections from supporters such as Ira Lubert and Mike Novogratz, and celebrated the shared belief that wrestling can change lives both on and off the mat.

Each year, the Celebration of Impact grows stronger, uniting the Beat the Streets family around a common purpose, to lift up youth through the discipline, resilience, and mentorship that define our sport.
