Cleveland Hosts BTSN’s Signature National Initiative

Cleveland, OH – June 2026 – Beat the Streets National (BTSN), the national organization that supports and unites a network of local Beat the Streets member chapters across the country, is proud to announce the 2026 National Enrichment Camp & Duals, presented by ASICS, taking place June 23–26, 2026, at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

As one of BTSN’s signature national initiatives and the organization’s largest annual gathering of youth and coaches, the National Enrichment Camp & Duals brings together student-athletes, coaches, mentors, and supporters from across the Beat the Streets movement for a unique experience centered on wrestling, mentorship, leadership development, educational enrichment, and opportunity.

More than 500 student-athletes, coaches, mentors, and volunteers from Beat the Streets programs across the country, including host chapter Beat the Streets Cleveland and 10 visiting Beat the Streets chapters, will gather in Cleveland for four days of wrestling, learning, mentorship, and connection. Participating chapters include Beat the Streets Baltimore, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Lancaster, Los Angeles, New England, Newark, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., representing communities from across the country and demonstrating the growing reach of the Beat the Streets movement.

The 2026 National Enrichment Camp & Duals arrives in Cleveland at a fitting moment for the sport of wrestling. Just months after the city hosted the 2026 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, Cleveland will once again welcome wrestlers from across the country. The event also coincides with the 10th anniversary of Beat the Streets Cleveland, recognizing a decade of impact serving youth throughout the Greater Cleveland community.

Now in its fifth year, the National Enrichment Camp & Duals has become a cornerstone experience for high school-aged participants across the Beat the Streets network. After being hosted at the University of Pennsylvania’s historic Palestra in Philadelphia in 2025, where participants took part in a memorable week of wrestling, leadership development, cultural experiences, and competition, Boston University in 2024, and in the Chicago area during its first two years, the event has continued to grow in both size and impact. Each year, student-athletes leave with new friendships, expanded perspectives, meaningful exposure to future possibilities in education and careers, and memories that extend far beyond the wrestling mat. Many participants remain connected long after the event concludes, creating relationships that span cities, states, and chapters throughout the Beat the Streets network. For many participants, the event represents their first opportunity to travel outside of their city, stay on a college campus, visit a Major League Baseball stadium, engage directly with industry professionals, or connect with peers from communities throughout the Beat the Streets network. By creating these experiences, Beat the Streets helps young people develop confidence, broaden their perspectives, and strengthen their aspirations for the future.

Event Highlights

  • On-the-mat instruction, technical development, and mentorship from accomplished coaches and athletes representing collegiate and world-class wrestling.
  • Career exploration programming at Progressive Field, hosted in partnership with the Cleveland Guardians, featuring professionals from throughout the sports industry representing organizations including the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Guardians, Cleveland Cavaliers, and MetroHealth.
  • College exposure opportunities through campus visits, interactions with coaching staffs, collegiate wrestling programming, and cultural and educational experiences that showcase the history, institutions, and attractions unique to the Greater Cleveland region.
  • Community-building activities designed to foster relationships among participants and strengthen connections throughout the Beat the Streets network.
  • Community service opportunities throughout the Greater Cleveland area.
  • Workforce development programming delivered in partnership with organizations such as the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers (SMART), the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA), and the U.S. Air Force, exposing participants to apprenticeship programs, skilled trades careers, military service, and other postsecondary pathways.

Building Pathways Beyond High School

For many participating chapters, the experience begins before arriving in Cleveland. Several cities have organized visits to collegiate wrestling programs and other team-building activities along their travel routes, providing student-athletes with opportunities to tour campuses, train, interact with coaching staffs, and experience college environments firsthand. Participating institutions include the University of Pittsburgh, Kent State University, Baldwin Wallace University, the University of Wisconsin–Madison, the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, Northern Michigan University, Tiffin University, Heidelberg University, and Penn State University.

While at Case Western Reserve University, participants will have the opportunity to learn from collegiate coaches representing multiple levels of wrestling, including NCAA Division I, Division III, and women’s wrestling programs. Coaches from institutions such as the University of Pittsburgh, Case Western Reserve University, John Carroll University, and Heidelberg University will participate in the week’s wrestling and educational programming, providing student-athletes with insight into the many paths available within collegiate wrestling and higher education.

Beyond wrestling, participants will engage in career exploration programming at Progressive Field in partnership with the Cleveland Guardians, where approximately 450 student-athletes and coaches will hear from professionals representing organizations across the sports industry and related sectors. Through panel discussions and small-group conversations, participants will gain exposure to careers both on and off the field while learning about the educational pathways that lead to those opportunities.

Participants will also engage directly with representatives from the U.S. Air Force, SMART, and SMACNA through workforce development programming designed to introduce participants to a variety of postsecondary opportunities. The U.S. Air Force will lead a series of teamwork-focused physical challenges and workout activities that encourage leadership, communication, resilience, and collaboration, while also engaging participants in discussions about military service, career opportunities, education benefits, and pathways available through the Air Force. SMART and SMACNA will provide insight into apprenticeship programs, skilled trades careers, apprenticeship opportunities, and pathways into the construction industry.

During a social lunch gathering, participants will have opportunities to relax, connect with peers from other cities, and build new friendships while enjoying music from a DJ, dancing, tug-of-war competitions, games, and other interactive activities that bring the Beat the Streets community together beyond the wrestling mat.

Female participants will also have the opportunity to attend the ASICS Move Her Mind Girls Empowerment Banquet, which celebrates the growth of girls wrestling while providing mentorship and inspiration from women leaders within the sport.

Celebrating Impact On and Off the Mat

The week will culminate with a full day dedicated to the BTS National Duals, where boys and girls teams representing their respective cities will compete head-to-head for national bragging rights while demonstrating the teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship that define the Beat the Streets experience. The competition will conclude with the Parade of Champions and Championship Finals, where the 2026 BTS National Champions will be crowned. Entering the event, Beat the Streets Chicago returns as the defending champion in both the boys and girls divisions.
