On March 22nd, Kansas City was buzzing with excitement during the NCAA D1 Wrestling Championships. With major upsets in the first and even second session, the wrestling community was in awe of the incredible talent showcased during the tournament, but nestled between sessions on day two of the three-day tournament was the 2nd Annual Beat the Streets National Celebration of Impact.

Beat the Streets supporters, staff and coaches, college wrestling fans, and USAW wrestling legends such as co-host Jordan Burroughs, Social Ambassador Award recipient Sara McMann, legends like Bruce Baumgartner, Kerry McCoy, Kyven Gadson, Lee Kemp, Bill Zadick and so many more, gathered together at the Grand Hall to celebrate all Beat the Streets accomplished in 2023.

As the youth development non-profit celebrated collectively reaching 10,000+ youth in 28+ cities across the nation, providing $1 Million+ in NEW workout and wrestling gear for youth in underserved communities, holding the 2nd annual BTS National Camp & Duals where nearly 350 BTS student-athletes gathered together from across the country for 3 days of camp and enrichment programs followed by a final day of duals, the wrestling community came together to support and learn more about current initiatives. Ben Reiter, the Beat the Streets Executive Director shared his hope for a bright future as the National organization continues its search for committed individuals to support their Visionary Campaign in which leaders from every industry come together to scale and strengthen the growth of existing and future chapters so BTS can reach and positively impact more youth. Scattered about the room were fun facts about the organization and their newest initiative, The Takedown Club, a program seeking monthly donations for as little as $10 a month to help fund 4 major program initiative: The Gear Up Initiative, National Camp & Duals, The Full Circle Scholarship, and the Coaches Training Program.

With great food, an open bar, a family-friendly environment, a live auction hosted by Jordan Burroughs, and inspirational speeches from BTS National Executive Director, Ben Reiter and Sara McMann, the 6x US Nationals Champion, 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist, former UFC Champion contender, and the 2024 BTS Social Ambassador Award recipient, the 2nd Annual BTS National Celebration of Impact was one of the weekends highlights for many attendees!
