Tulsa, OK – Many view the NCAA D1 Wrestling tournament as the pinnacle of the sport, and BTS National thought there was no better place to host an annual event to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of our entire organization, than the biggest wrestling event of the year.
On March 17th, between Friday’s sessions, joined by wrestling legends like Kenny Monday, Sally Roberts, Kerry McCoy, Brandon Slay and Jordan Burroughs, more than 200 BTS supporters and staff attended the Celebration of Impact as we honored our Visionaries, Board members and leadership who have played an important role in building the foundation for this life-changing organization. The Celebration of Impact allows leaders, athletes and fans to gather together to build a stronger sense of community while also celebrating the organization’s accomplishments and sharing the importance of the Beat the Streets mission.
Presented by Mike Novogratz, Yero Washington received the 2023 BTS National Servant Leader Award; this award honored Yero’s 10 year journey with Beat the Streets, first as a coach at BTS NY and now as the Executive Director of BTS LA. Also honored during the Celebration of Impact, was 7x Olympic/World Champion, Jordan Burroughs with the 2023 BTS Ambassador Award! The Ambassador Award was presented to Jordan by Trevor and Justin Hamil who represented Latham & Watkins.
Thank you to our presenting sponsors, Latham & Watkins, Post Brother’s and Alston Construction.
